Emma Sakson is the Deputy Director of Partnerships at Viamo, a global social enterprise that specializes in mobile engagement and Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D). Viamo works in partnership with development organizations to connect them and individuals through digital technology so that all people have access to the information they need to make decisions for healthy, prosperous lives. Based in Washington, DC, Emma supports Viamo’s new business development and USAID bid and proposal work, with a specific focus on Viamo’s health portfolio. Prior to joining Viamo, Emma was based in San Francisco, where she worked for Imagine Worldwide, a startup non-profit dedicated to piloting and researching promising autonomous learning solutions in low-resource settings. Previously, Emma served in a number of roles at The ONE Campaign and from 2015-2016 she served as a Princeton in Africa fellow at Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Emma has a degree in International Affairs with concentrations in Africa and International Development Studies from The George Washington University.
