Dr. Yasir Suhail's interests lie in mathematical and statistical methods in bioinformatics and computational biology. He has been involved in bioinformatics analysis of NGS short read sequencing analysis in cancer and plant stress pathways. He is interested in developing methods for computational analysis of genetic and protein interaction networks using graph theoretical and statistical approaches. He published the first mathematical model describing the role of tunneling nanotubes as a novel cell signaling modality, and a number of papers on the the analysis of neural electrode array recordings. He obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. Academic positions: Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Yale University.
