Brooke Hossfeld, MPH, CIC, MLS (ASCP)CM, Infection Prevention Specialist, Sodexo Healthcare. Brooke Hossfeld holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI, and a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology, with a focus on infectious diseases, from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, New Orleans, LA. She is certified in Infection Control by the Certification board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. and is a licensed Medical Technologist with the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Additionally, Brooke is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). Brooke brings more than a decade of knowledge and experience in healthcare and infection prevention. Brooke currently serves as the Infection Prevention Specialist with Sodexo Healthcare and is responsible for the clinical oversight of Sodexo’s infection prevention program. Prior to joining Sodexo, Brooke worked at Weiss Memorial Hospital, in Chicago, IL, where she served as the Infection Control Practitioner and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. Her previous experience includes roles in Infection Control and Prevention, Department of Homeland Security Office of Emergency Preparedness, Clinical Laboratory Education, and Medical Laboratory Sciences.
