Paul L. Wilder
Paul L. Wilder is executive director of CommonWell Health Alliance. With more than two decades of experience in health IT, he has held various roles focusing on imaging, clinical informatics and interoperability. Prior to joining CommonWell, Mr. Wilder was vice president of strategy and business development for Philips Interoperability Solutions. He also spent close to 10 years with one of the largest regional health information exchange networks in the world, the New York eHealth Collaborative. There, he served as its CIO, vice president of product management and program director for its Regional Extension Center. Each role enabled him to work with and hear directly from providers and end users of EHRs, which gives him an important perspective as a leader in health IT adoption and execution. Prior to joining the NYeC, Mr. Wilder spent more than a decade in healthcare with a focus on IT at McKesson, Fujifilm Medical Systems and GE Healthcare. He is passionate about transforming the healthcare delivery system in the U.S. Mr. Wilder received his Master of Business Administration degree from New York University with a concentration in finance and operations. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of Arts and Sciences and a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in biomedical science, both from the University of Pennsylvania.
